Tom Ruddy
The founder & CEO
The founder & CEO of Mr. Bean Coffee, Tom Ruddy, has been in international economic development for over twenty years and has been a serial entrepreneur. Now, his two worlds are coming together with a focus on improving the lives of women in coffee production and processing by channeling a percent of profits from the company to training, development, and commercialization of technologies that can empower women in coffee to become financially less dependent on others and more preferably self-sufficient in their financial needs.
There is no easy trick or solution to solve the many problems facing the coffee industry, but Tom wants to be one of the hopefully tens of thousands of entrepreneurs helping to solve problems at the production level. We must all contribute to ensure the sustainability of the coffee industry through the women who ensure we have our vital supply of coffee every day.

Promoting more responsible consumption of coffee by making every bean count at the consumer level and tracing each coffee bean batch from the farm to the roaster.

SDG 17-Partnering for Goals
Fostering international partnerships along the coffee value chain by working with women’s coffee organizations at the origin and channeling a percentage of profits and/or fund-raising to an impact investment vehicle to fund a range of women’s coffee activities.
